I recently graduated from Georgia Tech with a bachelor's in mechanical engineering. Of my five years at Tech, the latter three were spent heavily involved in photojournalism with the newspaper there, the Technique. It was at the Technique I developed and honed my photography skills as well as my shooting style. I learned to actively seek good photos instead of sitting back and passively waiting on something to happen. I also learned how to conduct myself efficiently, discretely and professionally while shooting in the field. These skills very readily translated to the event and wedding photography that I've been heavily involved in during the past couple years. Its these skills that set me apart from many more "traditional" wedding photographers. It shows in my work and it shows in the overall experience I'm able to provide my clients. Having an engineering background, I quickly developed a high technical affinity for camera gear. For those of you interested in what I shoot with, a list of gear, along with some brief comments are available here on my gear page. |
